I created this blog as an attempt to capture my experience transitioning from graduate school into the library profession. I am the daughter of a librarian, and my Mother inspired me to follow in her footsteps. I earned my MLIS degree with a concentration in Digital Libraries from Drexel University in June 2011. I am fascinated by the human mind, and have my BA in Psychology. During my coursework I developed a strong interest in emerging technologies, information architecture, and metadata. These interests are complemented by a lifelong love of learning and research. I am currently a Regional Campus Librarian at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Prior to this position I was the Reference/Instruction Librarian at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC. My work in these positions has fostered a passion for in person instruction and using web technologies to deliver online instruction and resources.
